The Roseland is made up of lots of small villages and communities. Most of these have fantastic, up to date village halls with all the mod cons available to hire for anything from a coffee morning or a game of Bridge to the “wedding of the year” or executive staff training.

The Community Centre in Philleigh was opened in 2016, after a full (and impressive) renovation program.

Facilities include:

  • Plenty of parking

The hall is perfect for:
  • Children’s parties up to 45 guests
  • AGM’s and other meetings, with seating for 60
  • 45/50 people seated at tables

Gerrans & Portscatho Parish Hall

Gerrans and Portscatho Parish Hall
Gerrans & Portscatho Parish Hall is situated on the hill above Gerrans bay, a short walk from the village and next door to the surgery. It has a large Hall suitable for Weddings, Concerts and Parties.

  • There is ample Parking next to the Hall
  • Parking is free to Hall and Surgery users.
  • The capacity in the Main Hall is 170, 30 in the annex.
  • Facilities include disabled access, men’s, women’s and Disabled toilets.
  • Kitchen Facilities include oven, 2hobs, dishwasher and fridge.
  • Wi Fi / screen is coming soon but you will need to have your own projector.
  • Double glaze and central heating throughout.
  • The annex is suitable for meetings and has a small kitchen.

St Just in Roseland Institute
St Just in Roseland Institute is situated in the little village of St Just in Roseland near St Mawes. The Institute has a fantastic view of St just Creek, and a beautiful large garden big enough for wedding and event marquees.

  • There is on -street parking outside the Institute.
  • The Institute consists of the main area, plus a small stage, entrance hall, disabled access, kitchen area and toilets
  • It seats between 50 to 60 people.
  • There is a screen and projector which are used regularly for village film evenings.
  • Cost of hire up to 3 hours is £12 and 3-6 hours is £15

The Parish Memorial Hall, St Mawes

Memorial Hall St Mawes
The Memorial Hall in St Mawes is a hub of activity. It is used by many organisations from within and outside the village of St Mawes. From the annual pantomime, wedding receptions and Community meals (seating for up to 120) to Bowls, Bingo and Coffee mornings.

  • The hall hosts a large stage area ideal for the pantomime which is a great favourite with the community. A large fully equipped kitchen makes cooking for up to 120 people a pleasure.
  • There is parking for 4 cars on site and the large public car park is less than 5 minutes walk.
  • Ample toilets are provided including one disabled.
  • There is a large screen available for films etc.
