St Just in Roseland is just a couple of miles away from St Mawes by road or 2.5 miles to walk.
You’ll pass through it on your way to and from St Mawes on the main road and it’s worth a stop to take in one of the UK’s most beautiful churches, dating from the 13th Century and set above the tidal creek of St Just Pool. It has a beautifully kept churchyard, luxuriantly planted with sub-tropical species. It was described by Sir John Betjeman as ‘
to many people the most beautiful churchyard on earth’.
It’s the perfect place to head for a walk from St Mawes.
