Car Parks in St Mawes
There is a
LONG STAY car park behind the Rising Sun in St Mawes.

Camper vans are welcome to park in the carpark; if parking over two spaces due to the size of the vehicle please pay for two spaces and display two tickets.
NOTE: sleeping overnight in campervans IS NOT permitted.

There is a short stay car park in the centre of St Mawes on the quay.

Why not leave the car behind, if only for a day? There are other ways of getting around the area, giving you time to enjoy the scenery whilst causing less damage to the environment. You can plan some wonderful combinations of walks, boat trips and public transport.
Ferries and River Trips
The St Mawes Ferry provides a regular pedestrian ferry link from St Mawes to Falmouth year round.
The King Harry Ferry is a chain ferry connecting St Mawes and the Roseland with Truro and Falmouth.
Enterprise Boats run scenic boat trips from Falmouth to Trelissick Gardens from May to September.
Place Ferry is a small seasonal passenger ferry which offers a regular service throughout the day between St Mawes and Place from Good Friday to 3rd October. It allows visitors to explore the beautiful St Anthony Head and enjoy circular walks in the area.
The Fal River Links website has information and timetables for travelling by ferry, bus and rail. There is also a list of itineraries which incorporate some of Cornwall’s most prominent visitor attractions such as the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, Trelissick Gardens, and St. Mawes Castle. It also gives you a list of activities, with which you can plan your own day out, including walks, fishing trips, cruises and so on.

By Train

National Express offer scheduled coach services to Truro from locations across the United Kingdom.
All Public Transport
If you are coming to Truro by train, Bus 50 serves Tregony, Portscatho, St Just and St Mawes. Be aware that the service currently runs every 2 hours and does not run late into the evening. If arriving in Truro by train you will need to take an additional 5 minute bus ride from the railway station down to the bus station from where the 50 departs. Alternatively travel on to Falmouth by train and then take the ferry across to St Mawes. Again be aware that there are no evening ferry services and you will need to take a bus or taxi from the railway station to the quay for the ferries.
