Fal River Autumn Walking Festival
Type: Festival
Encompassing the very best of what the Fal River has to offer, the walks take in the area’s historical points of interest, meander along coast paths, pass through areas of outstanding natural beauty and cut across the mining world heritage site.
This event provides a great opportunity to see the Cornish countryside in all its autumnal glory featuring guided and self-guided walks through some of the most stunning scenery the county has to offer. There are a range of graded walks for all the family (and the dog!) to suit all abilities taking in areas from Falmouth to Truro, the Roseland to the Helford Passage.
On the walks you can discover the area’s unique flora and fauna and picture perfect views whilst guides with a wealth of knowledge and experience share their personal insight to the beautiful Fal Estuary and surrounding seascape. Take a journey along woodland paths and under ancient oaks, past long forgotten slipways and onto ancient forts and Tudor castles. Meander through the old streets of Falmouth unravelling the secrets of a long maritime history and take in the unique natural history and geology of the Helford River with its stories of fishing and smuggling.
As well as the website, you can also find out more about the event on Twitter and Facebook.
